Matt Acrylic Splashbacks
Matt acrylic splashbacks are crafted from high-quality Perspex® acrylic sheets that have been specially treated to achieve a matt or satin finish. This finish creates a subtle and understated look, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to any kitchen space. Unlike gloss splashbacks, the matt surface diffuses light rather than reflecting it, resulting in a softer and more muted appearance.
As well as popular neutral colours of black, white, beige and, grey, our acrylic splashbacks are available in a trendy pastel range of colours allowing you to add a pop of colour to your kitchen. One of the main advantages of pastel colours is their ability to make a room feel brighter and more spacious. Light pastel shades, such as pale pink, mint green, soft blue, or lavender, can open up a small kitchen, making it appear larger and more airy.
Our matt acrylic splashbacks are made from a solid high-quality coloured Perspex® acrylic sheet for use in kitchens and bathrooms to protect against splashes of liquids, food and grease. Whilst they are practical, our splashbacks can also be used as part of your interior design to add some character to your room.
Acrylic splashbacks are safer than glass as they are much more impact resistant. They are also lightweight and therefore easier to install than a glass splashback.
Matt acrylic splashbacks are also easy to clean with just warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth, so it is perfect for a low-maintenance addition to your kitchen, bathroom or utility room where hygiene is important.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between regular acrylic and premium acrylic splashbacks?
Our matt and gloss acrylic splashbacks are quality coloured acrylic sheets provided by Perspex®. This acrylic is a solid colour right the way through and is a very cost-effective high-quality solution. The only slight drawback is that there is a limited range of colours available which may not suit your design which is why we have the premium acrylic option for customised colours.
We recommend ordering a sample to check the colour in the final location as screens can display colours differently. If you can’t find the correct colour or are trying to match a specific paint, RAL or Pantone colour get in touch and we can create a custom sample for you.
Are acrylic splashbacks heat resistant?
Acrylic splashback panels melt at high temperatures or from exposure to direct flames. The melting point for Perspex plastics is 80 degrees, so they cannot withstand extreme temperatures. Please see the above table to see if you can use this type of splashback behind your hob. Alternatively, you can take a look at our Glass Splashbacks which can be placed behind any hob.
How do you clean an acrylic splashback?
Keeping your acrylic splashback panels clean and hygienic is easy to maintain, as all that is required is warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth.
Can you cut a custom hole for plug sockets?
We are able to accommodate any requirements you may need. You can customise your splashback when ordering. For plug sockets, select the Cut-Outs option and explain where your plug socket is. For more assistance contact us at info@cutmy.co.uk
