Drilled holes are holes that go all the way through the wood to create a small hole that you can then use to screw the wood onto something else.

We can save you time and effort by drilling holes for you.

You can select corners, edges or a centre hole.

You can then choose the size of the hole and the distance from the edge for each individual hole. Need them all the same size and distance? No problem, click select all. Don't want one of the holes? Just click on the bin to delete it.

Click +Add Additional Holes to choose edges and corners or to add a centre hole as well.

You can check the hole placement in the visualiser.

The grain direction is the alignment, orientation, or pattern of the wood fibers in a piece of wood. You can specify if you want the grain on the real wood veneer to run parallel to the length or the width.

Please specify the direction in which you require the grain of the wood to go.

Measure from the top or bottom of the door to the middle of the hinge hole.

Can't I just add hinge holes myself?

Yes, with the right, specialised tools you can but if you're working on a project with multiple doors, having pre-drilled hinge holes ensures consistency in the placement of hinges and saves you the time and effort of adding them yourself.

Properly drilled hinge holes reduces the risk of splitting the wood when inserting screws to attach the hinges. Splitting can weaken the wood and compromise the integrity of the hinge attachment so it’s important these are done correctly by a professional.

How do I add hinge holes to my order?

Step 1. Choose a door orientation:

• Left-Hand Door - swings to the left when you open it
• Right-Hand Door - swings to the right when you open it
• Top-Hung Door - opens upward when you open it

Step 2. Let us know where you want the hinges to be on the door. You can add measurement from the top or bottom of the door to the middle of the hinge hole.

Cost: £5 each

For larger cabinet door sizes, between 1500mm and 2200mm, we'd recommend using 3 hinges.

Hinge holes must be positioned at least 70mm from the edge of the sheet and 70mm from each other.

You can add up to 5 hinge holes, if you need more please contact us.

Supports standard 35mm screw-in hinges - not included.

Our hinge holes use the standard 35mm hinge hole drilling pattern suitable for Blum hinges, which are a popular brand amongst widely recognised kitchen retailers such as Howdens. It is important to note that there may be variations in the design of your existing hinges, particularly in the case of older kitchen installations. Before placing your order, we strongly recommend checking that our hinge holes are compatible with your current hinge sizes. If you are unsure, please contact our customer service team who will be happy to help you. It is worth highlighting that hinges are replaceable and opting for new hinges presents additional advantages, such as the incorporation of features like soft closing doors if you do not already have this.

1. Select ‘Yes’ to add a rectangle or circle cutout.
2. Add the length, width or diameter of the cutout.
3. To position the cutout use the ‘Alignment’ section. Click ‘Centre’ to put the cutout in the centre. For any other position click ‘Custom’ and add your offset left and offset bottom measurements in mm.

How do I measure where the cutout should be?

For ‘Offset Left’ measure from the left edge to the cutout edge.

For ‘Offset Bottom’ measure from the bottom edge to the cutout edge as in the diagram.

Can I upload a diagram or drawing?

Yes, you can. Please select ‘Upload’ and then the number of external and internal cutouts you require, you will then be able to upload your image.

An external cutout is around the edge and creates a shape, an internal cutout is inside.
