Glass-look Acrylic Details

Glass look acrylic combines the clarity and colour of glass, with the durability and weight of acrylic sheets. It can be used in almost every setting that glass panes are traditionally used in, such as glass shelving in a bathroom, or as a clear table protector.

Our glass look plastic sheet is created to replicate the look of real glass, adding a faint green tint to the sheets. This subtle green tint imitates the appearance of real glass which is a great effect when trying to replicate the look of glass for a more sophisticated appearance.

Weighing half the weight of glass, and providing five times the impact strength, this is the perfect choice for those after a minimal modern approach, without the strain of working with glass.

Excellent Clarity

Our glass-look acrylic sheets give excellent optical clarity, providing a similar light transmission to glass. With a subtle green glass-like edge, it's best used to replicate standard uses for glass.

Malleable

Glass Look Acrylic is easy for us to cut and shape to your requirements. The cut surfaces can be polished and sanded easily for a more professional finish to your sheeting.

Durable

Glass look acrylic sheets are incredibly durable, so are often used as an alternative to glass, as it is resistant to impact and much more shatterproof, becoming a safer option.

Weather Resistant

With both UV and weather resistance, glass-look acrylic sheets can withstand the most severe weather conditions, making them fantastic alternatives to glass windows.

Lightweight

Glass look acrylic weighs half as much as an equivalent glass pane, making installation, transportation, and handling an easier option.

Maintainable

Glass look Perspex sheets are equally easy to clean, with just warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth needed to ensure a hygienic finish.

100% Recyclable

Perspex® Acrylic is 100% recyclable. Waste products can readily be recovered from the original raw material (the monomer) and re-used in a new sheet.

Perspex® has been manufactured in the UK for over 85 years and still takes place on the same site in Lancashire as it did in the 1930s. This short supply distance to our UK customers helps reduce ‘product miles’ from the manufacturing plant to the end user.

Numerous different investments have already been made by Perspex® to lessen the impact on the environment. Annual waste consumption has been reduced by 24 million litres, and almost 800 tonnes of carbon dioxide have been saved every year as part of a hot water recycling project. At Cut My, we work to be more sustainable by using all of our offcuts to heat our manufacturing facility. We are also currently working towards reducing our packaging.
