Acoustic Properties

Although we contemplated using felt-like materials as competitors do, we discovered that MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) offered acoustic properties and a sturdy, wall-adhering product, which is not feasible with flimsy stapled felt.

MDF excels as a soundproofing material due to its dense, randomly oriented fibre matrix that impedes sound transmission. Its highly compressed core effectively blocks sound waves, rendering it an outstanding choice for soundproofing, resulting in a quieter environment.

Our oak effect slat panels are crafted using melamine veneered MDF sourced from FINSA, a manufacturer chosen not only for their unparalleled product quality but also for their profound commitment to sustainable manufacturing and environmental stewardship.

You can rest assured that the panelling you receive from us is exclusively sourced from certified, responsibly managed forests that adhere to stringent sustainability standards.

Each panel is crafted from a solid MDF core and premium FINSA melamine, ensuring enhanced durability and stability. This construction ensures your walls remain strong and sturdy for years to come, while the melamine surface provides a realistic oak-like appearance without the high cost of real wood.

The solid wood sheet core ensures easy installation as a full board, as opposed to having to stick each slat on the wall at a time. All you need is a suitable adhesive and your panelling will be up in no time!

For walls taller than 2400mm and wider than 600mm, we'll provide you with multiple roughly equal-sized pieces that can be seamlessly joined together to meet your desired length, ensuring a cohesive and continuous look across your entire wall.

Simplifying DIY projects is at the heart of our dedication. Our Oak Effect Slat Panels eliminate the need for major tools, sawing, mess, or trips to dispose of wasted materials. Embracing your new panelling is a breeze, thanks to our three-step process: measure the space, apply glue, and install the panels. It couldn't be more straightforward! Every panel is pre-cut to size, and we'll provide you with an instruction manual to ensure a smooth installation.

Slat Sizing

Full Wall

With our oak effect slat panelling, you could create a beautiful feature wall. If you do decide to install your panelling from wall to wall, then you may have your end slats slightly smaller or larger than the rest to ensure a seamless fit, rather than having non-symmetrical panelling. This slight variation in the end panel's width is barely noticeable, as the rhythmic pattern of the wall slats naturally draws the eye towards the centre of the feature wall, minimising the visual impact of any size discrepancy at the edges. Depending on the dimensions of your wall, the maximum size of the last panel could be 35.5mm and the minimum 14mm.

Accent Area

An accent area is a narrow strip that creates a unique focal point in a room. To ensure all your end slats are the same size as all the other slats you'll need to order a width that is a multiple of 40mm +28mm. For example, the following width measurements will have all equal size slats:

The product looked ok. But the company doesn't know how to package them. They are so badly packaged that they all turned up unusable. And even after complaining the next set they sent were just as bad. Sent back for a refund and bought similar elsewhere much cheaper.

Get exactly what you expect this product was for a customer she wasn't sure at first as can only go by pictures and didn't have the time scale to wait for a sample so we took the risk and ordered, no regrets the product looks fantastic and is solid with then back being a full oak sheet was a surprisingly nice touch great product and fantastic customer service as the product originally was damaged through delivery transport being stressed as this needed completing within the short timescale, rest a sure I contacted customer service and they cut and sent out a replacement that I received within the week with no issues or disagreements fantastic customer satisfaction and product will offer from her again

I bought Oak Veneer slatted panels. Ordered 2 separate sections at different sizes, the two separate sizes cannot intersect / align due to finish on both sides of the smaller piece being an extra wide slat!? When contacting customer service, they state this is how it is supposed to be, makes no sense. Surely one side should have no slat and the other a slat so they can align and join with other pieces. Delivery was late despite £20 to get 2 day delivery, they refunded this. The larger piece was also delivered damaged. I alerted customer services, they took so long to respond I had decided to make use of the damamged part by the time. They offered to replace the part, not now required, but offered no compensation for the damage. Nor to refund the smaller piece which I consider to be faulty and cannot be used.

The delivery was on the date promised. The acrylic we ordered was of high quality and the correct thickness for our job. When we opened the packaging the cream colour looked an exact match to the colour on the website and the colour we wanted, however when the protective covering was removed, it is much yellower than we wanted, hence only 4 stars. At some point we will remove it and replace it with some blue. I would use the company again, as reproduction on a screen is difficult.

I ordered a custom 5mm double-sided frosted acrylic sheet (1420mm x 430mm) with two 130mm diameter holes to mount a dual-hose portable air conditioner using magnetic strips. The acrylic itself is absolutely fantastic. CutMy executed the dimensions and the hole cutouts perfectly to my exact specifications. The frosted finish looks great and the material quality is excellent. Unfortunately, my project is temporarily stalled because the AC retailer accidentally sent me a single-hose unit instead of a dual-hose model. To make matters worse, dual-hose units are now completely out of stock everywhere in the UK. I am currently facing a dilemma where I might have to manually modify this perfectly cut piece of plexiglass to accommodate a "hose-in-hose" configuration instead. Despite my external issues with the appliance, CutMy did an amazing job with the fabrication. I already have a few other projects lined up for later this year and will absolutely be using them again. I can safely recommend this company for precise, high-quality custom plastic cutting.

I ordered a clear piece to help seal my window as it was an outward hinging window on the top floor of the house, so fabric ones would collecting rainwater and would go mouldy. It was exactly the size requested and the cutout was perfectly measured to the point that the exhaust hose didn’t need anything to hold it in place as the fit alone keeps it right where I want it.
