UK's Leading Supplier of cut to size materials

What Makes Cut My Oak Slat Panels the Best in the UK?

Our slat wall panelling products have undergone a thoughtful refinement process, incorporating invaluable input from customers like you. Your feedback has allowed us to iteratively improve our product time and time again.

Each panel is meticulously handcrafted at our Sussex workshop, utilising premium, sustainable black core MDF with a high-quality oak melamine and cutting-edge CNC machinery. None of our competitors offer the level of customisation we provide, tailoring panels to your exact specifications.

Elsewhere, you'll find yourself having to cut the panels yourself to fit your space, resulting in uneven panels and a significant mess. At Cut My, we handle the challenging work for you, upholding the high quality you rightly deserve while saving you time and effort.

Cut to fit your space perfectly

Easy to install, no tools needed!

Sustainable, FSC-certified wood

Suitable for commercial use

Acoustic Properties

Although we contemplated using felt-like materials as competitors do, we discovered that MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) offered acoustic properties and a sturdy, wall-adhering product, which is not feasible with flimsy stapled felt.

MDF excels as a soundproofing material due to its dense, randomly oriented fibre matrix that impedes sound transmission. Its highly compressed core effectively blocks sound waves, rendering it an outstanding choice for soundproofing, resulting in a quieter environment.

Sustainably Sourced

Our oak effect slat panels are crafted using melamine veneered MDF sourced from FINSA, a manufacturer chosen not only for their unparalleled product quality but also for their profound commitment to sustainable manufacturing and environmental stewardship.

You can rest assured that the panelling you receive from us is exclusively sourced from certified, responsibly managed forests that adhere to stringent sustainability standards.

Each panel is crafted from a solid MDF core and premium FINSA melamine, ensuring enhanced durability and stability. This construction ensures your walls remain strong and sturdy for years to come, while the melamine surface provides a realistic oak-like appearance without the high cost of real wood.

The solid wood sheet core ensures easy installation as a full board, as opposed to having to stick each slat on the wall at a time. All you need is a suitable adhesive and your panelling will be up in no time!

For walls taller than 2400mm and wider than 600mm, we'll provide you with multiple roughly equal-sized pieces that can be seamlessly joined together to meet your desired length, ensuring a cohesive and continuous look across your entire wall.

Installation

Simplifying DIY projects is at the heart of our dedication. Our Oak Effect Slat Panels eliminate the need for major tools, sawing, mess, or trips to dispose of wasted materials. Embracing your new panelling is a breeze, thanks to our three-step process: measure the space, apply glue, and install the panels. It couldn't be more straightforward! Every panel is pre-cut to size, and we'll provide you with an instruction manual to ensure a smooth installation.

For walls taller than 2400mm and wider than 600mm, we'll provide you with multiple roughly equal-sized pieces that can be effortlessly joined together, ensuring a flawless and cohesive look.

Step 1: Measure and Buy

Step 2: Glue

Step 3: Install

Slat Sizing

Full Wall

With our oak effect slat panelling, you could create a beautiful feature wall. If you do decide to install your panelling from wall to wall, then you may have your end slats slightly smaller or larger than the rest to ensure a seamless fit, rather than having non-symmetrical panelling. This slight variation in the end panel's width is barely noticeable, as the rhythmic pattern of the wall slats naturally draws the eye towards the centre of the feature wall, minimising the visual impact of any size discrepancy at the edges. Depending on the dimensions of your wall, the maximum size of the last panel could be 35.5mm and the minimum 14mm.

Accent Area

An accent area is a narrow strip that creates a unique focal point in a room. To ensure all your end slats are the same size as all the other slats you'll need to order a width that is a multiple of 40mm +28mm. For example, the following width measurements will have all equal size slats:

628mm

668mm

708mm

748mm

788mm

The product looked ok. But the company doesn't know how to package them. They are so badly packaged that they all turned up unusable. And even after complaining the next set they sent were just as bad. Sent back for a refund and bought similar elsewhere much cheaper.

Get exactly what you expect this product was for a customer she wasn't sure at first as can only go by pictures and didn't have the time scale to wait for a sample so we took the risk and ordered, no regrets the product looks fantastic and is solid with then back being a full oak sheet was a surprisingly nice touch great product and fantastic customer service as the product originally was damaged through delivery transport being stressed as this needed completing within the short timescale, rest a sure I contacted customer service and they cut and sent out a replacement that I received within the week with no issues or disagreements fantastic customer satisfaction and product will offer from her again

Used for something different than usual but framed the base of my huge fish tank perfectly. This tank had a custom metal base made so came with nothing else. Found this site and new this would look great and finish the tank off.

I bought Oak Veneer slatted panels. Ordered 2 separate sections at different sizes, the two separate sizes cannot intersect / align due to finish on both sides of the smaller piece being an extra wide slat!? When contacting customer service, they state this is how it is supposed to be, makes no sense. Surely one side should have no slat and the other a slat so they can align and join with other pieces. Delivery was late despite £20 to get 2 day delivery, they refunded this. The larger piece was also delivered damaged. I alerted customer services, they took so long to respond I had decided to make use of the damamged part by the time. They offered to replace the part, not now required, but offered no compensation for the damage. Nor to refund the smaller piece which I consider to be faulty and cannot be used.

Lorraine,

I needed 4 additional shelves for a project I was working on. I found the website very easy to use to find the product I needed, then input the sizes and quantity. The order arrived securely packed and on time. Unfortunately one of the shelves had been cut to the wrong size. I contact Customer Services and sent through details of the error with photographs to show the fault. This was responded to by a member of their CS team who accepted the issue and had arranged for a new shelf to be sent through in a few days. This one arrived well packed again and as per my order. Nobody is perfect and errors can occur but I cannot fault the Customer Service in contacting me after the problem was reported, discussed my order and arrangements made to replace the faulty item.

Delivery on time, all as described

Years ago I designed and built my own workstation using MDF I bought in sheets and cut, primed and painted myself. It took me several days and was a lot of work. All I had to do was paint and drill fixing holes. Great service, would use again!

b hodgson,

Very good experience with Cutmy! Delivery was smooth and quick, and customer service was very responsive and kind. It is a bit pricier when you have pieces cut out to the shape you want but if you don't have the right tools or skills to do it yourself, it's very practical. One thing I was a bit sad about was not being to order a larger piece of pre-cut MDF for my larger understairs storage door (1500mm high on the highest side). I ended up cutting it myself and managed ok nonetheless.

Flore Depierre,
