Get superior strength and clarity over glass panels with our 10mm Perspex® acrylic sheets. These crystal clear plastic sheets are a far lighter yet more durable and affordable alternative to glass in the same 10mm thickness.

The thickness provides lasting stability perfect for very large enclosures, room dividers, displays, furniture and other demanding applications requiring a perfectly flat, rigid sheet that retains its shape.

At 10mm, these acrylic sheets require precision cutting tools like a table saw or CNC machine. Provide your required dimensions below and we'll cut your Perspex® sheet with an accuracy of +/- 1mm.

Details

Manufactured right here in the UK, these optically clear acrylic sheets allow over 90% light transmission for unmatched optical clarity.

The crystal-clear finish provides distortion-free viewing, allowing colours, graphics, and images to pop with vivid detail. Our clear acrylic is easy to work with using standard wood and plastic cutting tools. It can be sawed, routed, laser cut, tapped, filed, and drilled with excellent results. Made from 100% pure acrylic, our sheets are half the weight of glass but many times more impact-resistant.

Our great quality 10mm plastic sheets make a range of projects possible, everything from home decoration to business premises and public areas. Because they are so thick, strong, tough and durable, our 10mm Perspex® sheets are also incredibly versatile, whether you're making windows for boats and yachts or making a work of art.

If you are looking for something more eye-catching, have a look at our coloured acrylic sheets!

Frequently Asked Questions

How strong is 10mm acrylic?

10mm acrylic sheets have good strength and durability. They can withstand impact and scratches better than glass. Acrylic has a flexural strength of around 10,000 psi, meaning a 10mm thick sheet can hold around 100 kg per square meter before bending or breaking.

What is the difference between acrylic and Perspex® sheets?

Acrylic and Perspex are essentially the same material - a transparent thermoplastic often used as a lightweight alternative to glass. The main difference is the brand name. Acrylic is the generic term for this plastic polymer, while Perspex® is a trademarked brand. All of the acrylic sheets we supply at Cut My are Perspex®, ensuring you the best quality plastic ate excellent value.

How do you cut 10mm acrylic sheets?

There are a few options for cutting 10mm acrylic:

  • Use a specialised acrylic saw with fine teeth when cutting acrylic sheets, cutting slowly and steadily to prevent cracks and chips in the material.
  • A table saw with an acrylic-suitable fine-toothed blade can also be used to cut 10mm acrylic sheets, taking care to cut gently and smoothly so as not to overheat the plastic.
  • 10mm acrylic sheets can be precisely cut using a laser cutter calibrated for that thickness, clamping the sheet during cutting to avoid vibration.
  • To avoid cracks, it is important to use sharp cutting tools designed specifically for acrylics when cutting 10mm sheets.

The key is to cut steadily and smoothly to avoid excessive heat buildup, which can cause cracking. Use sharp blade designs made for acrylic. Lubricating the cut line also helps.

Paid extra for accelerated delivery. After placing order told the workshops were running late, so accelerated delivery was meaningless. Emailed customer service, no response. On receiving the plastic, found the delivery label slapped over a gouge in the plastic, which can only have been done in workshops. Emailed, three times. No response. 24 Jul: Response now with us. Replacement being sent.

I needed to replace a mirror that had broken. The Acrylic replacement is every bit as good as the original glass one and fitted the frame like a glove. I took a punt on this and it worked out great, I could not be happier. Thanks
