Our 4mm acrylic sheets are a top-selling product because of their versatile applications for both artistic and practical projects.
The 4mm thickness makes these sheets ideal for secondary double glazing. By adding an acrylic barrier over your existing windows, you can reduce heat loss and improve noise insulation in your home. The 4mm sheets provide extra security and weather resistance over thinner options.
10 times stronger than glass, our 4mm acrylic stands up to weather and wear, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. These durable plastic sheets can be precisely cut to size to retrofit any window, providing protection from the elements while helping regulate interior temperatures.
For large-scale projects needing maximum strength, we recommend a 5mm+ thickness acrylic sheet. Feel free to order a free sample in your preferred thickness to ensure it fits your needs. Our team can also advise on the ideal thickness for your specific application.
Add polished edges for a finished, upscale look. By purchasing your 4mm sheets cut-to-size from us, you benefit from excellent customer service, fast delivery, and accuracy within +/- 1mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 4mm acrylic strong?
Yes, 4mm acrylic sheets are strong and durable. Acrylic is a plastic polymer that is impact-resistant, making it stronger than materials like glass. The 4mm thickness provides additional rigidity and strength over thinner sheets. Acrylic can withstand bumps, drops, and exposure to elements better than many clear sheet materials. For a tougher clear plastic sheet, check out our polycarbonate sheets
How do you cut 4mm Perspex®?
There are a few options for cutting 4mm Perspex® acrylic sheets:
- Use an acrylic-specific table or skill saw with proper blades to avoid cracking or chipping the edges.
- A router with an acrylic cutting bit can be used for smooth, precise cuts.
- Laser-cutting machines can also neatly and accurately cut through 4mm acrylic.
- For straight cuts, an acrylic scorer and snap pliers can be used.
Always properly clamp and support the acrylic to prevent vibration and ensure clean cuts.
Is 4mm Perspex® flexible?
4mm Perspex® acrylic sheets have some flexibility, but are generally considered rigid sheets. Thinner sheets like 2mm are more flexible and can be bent into curved shapes. 4mm can only be bent with heat or in gradual, wide arcs. Trying to sharply crease 4mm perspex may cause it to crack or break. So 4mm acrylic provides structure while maintaining some ability to flex.
