Cherry Veneered MDF Details
Our crown-cut real cherry veneered MDF adds an elegant finish to standard MDF with a smooth, uniform wood grain. The reddish-brown cherry wood sourced from North America often contains attractive black deposits and small knots. When exposed to light, the wood takes on a warmer, weathered tone.
The veneer is high-quality cherry wood bonded to an 18mm MDF board. It is sliced at a right angle to produce the iconic cherry grain pattern that can be customized.
Extremely versatile, our 19mm cherry veneered MDF suits furniture, kitchen door and drawer fronts, wall shelving, mouldings, dining sets, surrounds and accepts stains and paints. The smooth MDF faces also work well with additional veneers and laminates.
We customize cherry-veneered MDF to any size or spec with our CNC machine. The lightweight sheets are easy to cut and sand using basic tools. Proper protective equipment should be used.
Our MDF contains fibres from sustainable sources like thinnings, recycled wood and sawdust. Suppliers are FSC and PEFC certified.
The cherry veneer provides a clean, decorative solid cherry look while retaining the strength and stability of the MDF core.
Key Features of Cherry Veneer
Our cherry-veneered MDF sheets are extremely versatile, suitable for furniture, cabinets, shelving, moldings, and more. The 18mm MDF core provides a sturdy, stable base.
A more affordable alternative to solid wood, our veneered MDF boards provide the look of pure wood at a fraction of the cost.
Keeping the boards clean is easy with just a microfiber cloth and standard wood polish.
The compressed wood fiber MDF core makes these boards lighter than comparable solid wood, for easier handling, transport, and installation.
Our cherry veneered MDF is highly malleable and can be cut, drilled, and shaped as needed, making it extremely flexible to work with. Custom edging is also available.
We offer guides for installing veneered MDF panels and shelving. While professional installation is recommended, our guides provide useful advice for DIY projects.

Yes, our cherry veneers are made from high-quality, durable cherry wood. The veneers give the look of solid cherry at a lower cost than solid boards. Cherry veneered MDF is an inexpensive, high quality option for furniture.
Can you paint cherry veneered MDF?
Yes, if the veneer surface is in good condition. Lightly sand, prime, and paint just like you would any other furniture. If the veneer is damaged, repair it before painting.
Is solid cherry better than cherry veneer?
Solid cherry can last generations with proper craftsmanship. However, cherry veneered MDF is also very durable and more affordable. It provides a great look at a lower cost.
