Gym and Dance Studio Mirrors
Our 5mm thick acrylic mirrors allow a safer, and longer-lasting alternative with the same great results as glass mirrors. Mirrored acrylic is versatile, and ideal for home gym mirrors, dance studio mirrors, or fitness studios, as keeping your acrylic mirror clean and hygienic is just as easy to maintain as a glass mirror. All that is required is warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth, perfect for gym mirror walls.
Once ordered to measurement and specification, when professionally and correctly fitted to the wall, you will get the same clear reflective surface that you would with glass. We do recommend that if you intend on getting the mirror to look flat, that it is backed on a smooth, flat surface. If you're unsure if your walls are perfectly flat we recommend backing onto 18mm MDF. We suggest this for any gym wall mirrors or for large gym mirrors.
Using an adhesive is the most common choice for both ease and simplicity, providing a professional, smooth finish and importantly, a secure fit to any gym wall mirror.
Acrylic Gym Mirror
Our acrylic gym and dance studio mirrors are the perfect solution to transform any space into a professional-grade workout or practice area. We recently collaborated with @that.triangle.house who transformed her garage into a sleek home gym using our custom cut acrylic mirrors. The space, with its freshly plastered and flat walls, was the perfect canvas for our mirrors. The installation process was straightforward, and the results were stunning! She now enjoys a bright, spacious, and professional environment for her workouts, all thanks to the clarity and quality of our acrylic mirrors.
I was gifted this fantastic mirror from @cutmy.uk for my gym. I absolutely love it. Made to measure this is 1400mm x 800mm acrylic and weighs very little. I’ve glued it to my new flat walls and after 48 hrs of curing it’s ready for a workout!
Key Features
Versatile
With shatter-resistant properties, our gym mirrored Perspex® sheets have 10 times the impact resistance compared to traditional mirrors. Due to their strong durability, the gym mirrors also make a great addition outside of the home, such as as a garden feature.
Inexpensive
Our mirrored acrylic offers the same clear reflection and provides better durability making it perfect for home gym mirrors, or for dance studio mirrors at the same price of glass, making them a cheap mirror relative to their durability and longevity.
Maintainable
Keeping your acrylic gym mirrors clean and hygienic is just as easy to maintain as a glass mirror. All that is required is warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth. If your acrylic sheet does get scratched, using VuPlex polish as per its instructions will buff out any scratches and restore the mirrored reflection.
Lightweight
Gym mirror Perspex® sheets weigh half as much as an equivalent glass mirror, making installation, transportation, and handling an easier, and more attractive option. In addition to its shatter-resistant properties, it is a safer mirror to have around children and/or pet-friendly home.
Weather Resistant
With both UV and weather resistance, our mirrored Perspex® sheets can withstand the most severe of weather conditions, making them fantastic alternatives to glass mirrors outdoors whether in the garden or as a feature in stables. As such, acrylic garden mirrors are fantastic ways to create the illusion of a larger garden.
Malleable
Our mirrored Perspex® is easy to fabricate and can be cut by us, drilled and shaped to any requirements, so it’s a flexible material to work with.
Installation
To install our mirrored acrylic, you only require either an appropriate drill bit or adhesive glue. While we do strongly advise that you use a professional to install your mirrors, we have also provided a DIY guide for how to install your mirror.
We do also recommend that if you are intending on getting the mirror to look flat, it is backed on an engineered flat, and strong surface, such as our 18mm MDF and for any mirrors larger than one metre squared, that the mirrored acrylic is ordered in 5mm.
