Yes, if the edges of your tv wall panel are going to be seen then you will need edge banding.

Edge banding is a protective material applied to exposed edges which not only gives your project a clean and polished look, but also provides protection against wear, impact, and moisture. This results in a more durable and long-lasting product due to the sealed edges of the veneered MDF sheet.

You can choose from matching edges to the board material you are buying, or you can choose a contrasting edge banding for a customised look. Whether you prefer a wood grain, a metallic sheen or a vibrant colour, we have plenty of options for you to choose from to allow you to tailor your creation and create a more premium look to your veneered sheet.

We recommend lacquering wood, not only to protect it from moisture and staining but also because it enhances the natural beauty of the wood adding depth and clarity to its grain and colour. Lacquer helps extend the lifespan of the wood and keeps it looking new for a longer time.

Rather than buying lacquer separately, we can save you time and effort by lacquering both sides for you. The lacquer is spray painted by our expert sprayer with 20+ years of experience in the automotive industry resulting in a professional finish that can’t be matched with a paint brush at home.

We recommend that Lacquered sheets also be Edge Banded for added protection.

1. Select ‘Yes’ to add a rectangle or circle cutout.
2. Add the length, width or diameter of the cutout.
3. To position the cutout use the ‘Alignment’ section. Click ‘Centre’ to put the cutout in the centre. For any other position click ‘Custom’ and add your offset left and offset bottom measurements in mm.

How do I measure where the cutout should be?

For ‘Offset Left’ measure from the left edge to the cutout edge.

For ‘Offset Bottom’ measure from the bottom edge to the cutout edge as in the diagram.

Can I upload a diagram or drawing?

Yes, you can. Please select ‘Upload’ and then the number of external and internal cutouts you require, you will then be able to upload your image.

An external cutout is around the edge and creates a shape, an internal cutout is inside.
