We explored the possibility of using felt, like our competitors do, but determined that MDF offered favourable acoustic properties, as well as a solid product that adheres to walls, a feature not achievable with stapled felt.

MDF's dense, randomly oriented fibre matrix impedes sound transmission, making it an exceptional soundproofing material. Its highly compressed core effectively blocks sound waves, ensuring outstanding soundproofing capabilities and a quieter environment.

When opting for a full-wall application, you may notice that the end slats might be slightly smaller or larger than the rest, a necessary variation to ensure a flawless, seamless fit across the entire expanse. Depending on the dimensions of your wall, the two end panels on either side could range from a maximum width of 35.5mm to a minimum of 14mm. However, this subtle size variation at the edges is barely perceptible, as the eye is naturally drawn to the striking, evenly spaced slats that dominate the central area.

Accent Area

You could also create an accent area which is a narrow strip that creates a unique and modern focus point in a room. To ensure all your end slats are the same size as all the other slats you'll need to order a width that is a multiple of 40mm +28mm. As an example, the following width measurements will have all equal size slats:
