FINSA Coloured MDF Details

Coloured MDF may not immediately come to mind when picturing the smooth wood sheet, however, the creative possibilities available from both our solid FINSA coloured MDF and FINSA Twincolour ranges are limitless.

Boasting a consistently smooth surface, FINSA coloured MDF is perfect for use in furniture; flooring; shelving, cabinets, or as a decorative piece as it can be easily customised to suit numerous different projects. As a result, FINSA coloured MDF is easy to fabricate, drill, or affix with screws, nails or glues, making it a go-to option as a furniture board.

FINSA has gained an international reputation as an environmentally conscious brand committed to sustainability in the forestry industry. With certifications proving their conscious efforts, our FINSA range offers a premium ethically aware option that never compromises on quality.

There are coloured MDF options to suit all budgets and requirements, with the FINSA Twincolour range making for a spectacular option due to the depth and detail added when routed while the solid coloured MDF adds vibrancy and sophistication as a result of its light and smooth surface.

Most commonly used in decoration or DIY, the FINSA coloured MDF sheets deliver phenomenal properties in strength and durability such as for panels and cupboards.

Additionally, the light and smooth surface make it easy to mark up for cutting or sanding down, and it can be cut to various shapes and forms with ease using an electric saw, router, or handsaw. Please note that when cutting MDF, appropriate protection must be worn due to the dust particles MDF can create.

FINSA coloured MDF is ranked with the Euroclass D Fire Rating, though if you require MDF to prevent the spread of fire, please see our Flame Retardant MDF which can prevent the spread of fire by up to half an hour.

FINSA Coloured MDF Key Features

FINSA coloured MDF is a popular and adaptable material that is made up of small strands of mixed hard and softwoods coloured with natural pigmentation, combined with resins and wax to produce a hard-wearing but lightweight panel.

Due to the small strands that construct the sheet, FINSA coloured MDF is ideal for use in environments where safety is key, as this sheet is light to install and fit.

Compared to alternate materials, FINSA coloured MDF provides an inexpensive solution for DIY or construction.

FINSA coloured takes well to being machined and cut, meaning that we can customize your sheet to fit any spaces that you wish. FINSA coloured MDF is also ideal for painting and priming for your design.
