Details

Softwood ply, often called shuttering ply, is a rough sheet suitable for formwork, shuttering, and basic carpentry like garage shelves for paint or tools. Expect knots, dents, filler, and warping on the surface. It's not for fine joinery like bookcases that require a smooth finish - we'd recommend birch ply for that.

Typically made from spruce, pine or cedar, 18mm softwood plywood offers versatility and value for construction and home projects. It provides excellent stability and rigidity in large sheets, ideal for walls, floors, roofing, and general joinery.

We stock lighter-toned Brazilian softwood with straighter grain and uniform texture. Benefits of our 18mm ply sheets include strength, workability with standard tools, compression resistance without bending or warping, and durability. Other sizes like 12mm softwood ply are available too.

Disappointing product, needed remediation and more prep than expected before use. The boards had visible filler showing. The packing was very good. Not good for "marine ply" at premium price. Cutting was accurate. Delivery was confusing, sent by a business name other than the seller, with delivery emails from the unknown business. I had to enquire who the sender was.

The customer service was polite and 5 star! The delivery of items with damaged edges in multiple places for the white melamine faced plywood - fpr a sample size and full size - was less than ideal. BUT, we received a prompt full refund for the purchase when providing adequate photographs, no problem. They do stand by threir policy for customer saitisfaction with different options in this kind of situation. It seems like quality control is lacking. The pieces were very well packaged with thick foam bumpers, good fast delivery - damages not the courier's fault in our opinion. I finessed the damaged edges myself because I could, but we shouldn't have to do that. So you take your chances. It is good value.

It was easy to order. I gave the measurements and the acrylic mirror was cut to the exact size. It arrived very quickly. The purpose for this mirror was to fit in a gold effect ornate frame and is to be used as a prop on which to affix the individual table plan for my daughter’s wedding. It’s perfect for this. However, if I was to use it as an exact mirror reflection without distortion it would need to be fixed to a backing.

The delivery was on the date promised. The acrylic we ordered was of high quality and the correct thickness for our job. When we opened the packaging the cream colour looked an exact match to the colour on the website and the colour we wanted, however when the protective covering was removed, it is much yellower than we wanted, hence only 4 stars. At some point we will remove it and replace it with some blue. I would use the company again, as reproduction on a screen is difficult.

I ordered a custom 5mm double-sided frosted acrylic sheet (1420mm x 430mm) with two 130mm diameter holes to mount a dual-hose portable air conditioner using magnetic strips. The acrylic itself is absolutely fantastic. CutMy executed the dimensions and the hole cutouts perfectly to my exact specifications. The frosted finish looks great and the material quality is excellent. Unfortunately, my project is temporarily stalled because the AC retailer accidentally sent me a single-hose unit instead of a dual-hose model. To make matters worse, dual-hose units are now completely out of stock everywhere in the UK. I am currently facing a dilemma where I might have to manually modify this perfectly cut piece of plexiglass to accommodate a "hose-in-hose" configuration instead. Despite my external issues with the appliance, CutMy did an amazing job with the fabrication. I already have a few other projects lined up for later this year and will absolutely be using them again. I can safely recommend this company for precise, high-quality custom plastic cutting.
