The fabric seal that came with your portable AC was never going to work. It sags, it gaps, and the velcro gives up the moment the wind picks up. Our acrylic seal is cut to the exact size of your window, with a hole in the exact size for your AC hose, so the cold air stays in, the hot air stays out, and you actually feel the difference. Renter-friendly, tool-free installation, and built to come down at the end of summer and go back up next year.

How to order

Important: You do not need the window adapter that came with your portable AC unit, only the hose is needed.

Measure the opening

Height and width of the open window gap in millimetres. Add extra so the acrylic sits at least 20mm onto the flat part of the frame on each side — include any curved section before the flat frame in this measurement.

Add your hose cutout

Tick Yes, choose Circle, then enter your hose diameter. You do not need the adapter, simply put the hose through the hole.

Add hook & loop tape

Add enough hook & loop tape for the perimeter of your window - sold in 5m rolls. The perimeter is height + width x2.

I needed 4 additional shelves for a project I was working on. I found the website very easy to use to find the product I needed, then input the sizes and quantity. The order arrived securely packed and on time. Unfortunately one of the shelves had been cut to the wrong size. I contact Customer Services and sent through details of the error with photographs to show the fault. This was responded to by a member of their CS team who accepted the issue and had arranged for a new shelf to be sent through in a few days. This one arrived well packed again and as per my order. Nobody is perfect and errors can occur but I cannot fault the Customer Service in contacting me after the problem was reported, discussed my order and arrangements made to replace the faulty item.

Very good experience with Cutmy! Delivery was smooth and quick, and customer service was very responsive and kind. It is a bit pricier when you have pieces cut out to the shape you want but if you don't have the right tools or skills to do it yourself, it's very practical. One thing I was a bit sad about was not being to order a larger piece of pre-cut MDF for my larger understairs storage door (1500mm high on the highest side). I ended up cutting it myself and managed ok nonetheless.
