This can be especially useful if you use your shed as a workspace, as natural light can help to make the interior of the shed more inviting and comfortable. This can also improve energy efficiency in your shed by reducing heat loss which is why our clear sheets are commonly used for secondary glazing too.
With a higher impact tolerance to glass, our shed windows make a stronger, long-lasting alternative. Polycarbonate is 200 hundred times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger than our regular acrylic, as well as being shatter-resistant. At its thickest point polycarbonate is also resistant to bullets!

Perspex® Acrylic is 100% recyclable. Waste products can readily be recovered from the original raw material (the monomer) and re-used in a new sheet.
Perspex® has been manufactured in the UK for over 85 years and still takes place on the same site in Lancashire as it did in the 1930s. This short supply distance to our UK customers helps reduce ‘product miles’ from the manufacturing plant to the end user.
Numerous different investments have already been made by Perspex® to lessen the impact on the environment. Annual waste consumption has been reduced by 24 million litres, and almost 800 tonnes of carbon dioxide have been saved every year as part of a hot water recycling project. At Cut My, we work to be more sustainable by using all of our offcuts to heat our manufacturing facility. We are also currently working towards reducing our packaging.

Clear Perspex Acrylic sheeting provides up to 92% light transmission, higher than most types of glass, so is a preferable option to glass for use in windows or roofing for sheds.
We recommend a minimum thickness of 3mm however we have found that for some, 2mm is ideal for smaller sheds, or for use as secondary glazing for the colder months.
While sheds often have electricity, having natural lighting in your shed makes the whole room feel more habitable, even if it is used as additional storage. We find that this makes windows a favourable option.
Our polycarbonate is 300 hundred times stronger than glass, meaning that its resistance to impact and the elements will see polycarbonate shed windows outlast any glass alternative.
