Our Medite Premier MDF craft packs give you a beautifully smooth, consistent blank to paint, decorate and create with. Available in 3mm and 6mm thicknesses, and in A5 sheets, 100mm squares and 100mm diameter discs, these MDF craft blanks are ideal for home décor, event decorations, personalised gifts and laser cutting projects. Supplied in singles or 5-packs.
MDF is one of the most widely used materials in the crafting world, and for good reason. Its smooth, even surface is perfect for painting, stencilling, decoupage and laser engraving. Popular projects include wall art, table centrepieces, wedding and event décor, Christmas decorations, gift tags, personalised signs and painted coasters. It's also a favourite for laser cutters and crafters who want a clean, consistent material to work with.

Working with MDF
Apply a primer before painting for the best finish. MDF can be cut with a craft knife, scroll saw or laser cutter and decorated with acrylic or chalk paints, vinyl or stencils. Keep MDF dry — it is not suitable for outdoor or prolonged damp conditions.

Replacement shelving
Installed rack shelving in my garage which came with MDF shelves. A year later the MDF was covered in mould and had to be replaced. After much head scratching regards a replacement for the MDF decided to give acrylic plastic sheet a try. Not a cheap option but found Cut/my the best value. Ordered one 3mm clear sheet at first (the hefty delivery charge was annoying!). Was concerned whether 3mm would be strong enough but it worked really well leaving no concerns over strength. I ordered the remaining 9 sheets to complete my shelving which arrived very quickly. Really pleased with these panels and, a bonus, my small shed is much lighter having removed the dark MDF. Would highly recommend for any similar project.
