Custom Height V-Groove Panelling

A Wainscot cap is a decorative feature which is placed above your panelling and is an optional addition. We offer three types of Dado Rail:

1. Type A Dado - a classical moulding style.
2. Type B Dado - the top of your V Groove panels will be chamfered, and you will then place a piece of moisture-resistant MDF (provided) above the panelling. This will create an additional horizontal groove at the top of your panelling.
3. Picture Shelf - in two depths of 80mm and 120mm

Primer is essential if you plan on painting your panelling, it creates a smooth and even surface for the paint to adhere to. It helps the paint grip to the wood better, ensuring a longer-lasting finish and an even paint application.

Investing in priming your order saves you time, effort and money as you’ll need fewer coats of paint and your painted finish will last longer, reducing the frequency of repainting.

Free Upgrade

When you choose to have primer we automatically upgrade the MDF to moisture-resistant MDF.

Please note, that the grooves are not primed. We have thoroughly tested this adjustment and found that it does not compromise the quality or integrity of the final product. With a light sand, the grooves can be painted without primer, the lack of primer on the grooves gives the illusion of a deeper groove when painted.

If you do not order your panelling to come primed, then you will need to do this yourself when it arrives before you apply paint for a professionally clean finish.
