How do radiator shelves improve energy efficiency?
Radiator shelves help direct warm air out into the room, rather than letting it rise straight up the wall. This means your room heats up more evenly and can feel warmer faster, so you may not need to turn the heating up as much.
What size gap do I need behind my radiator to fit one of these shelves?
You’ll need a gap of at least 3cm and no more than 9cm between your radiator and the wall for the shelf to fit properly.
What depth are the shelves?
All shelves are 150mm deep, which is perfect for small plants, photo frames, candles, or other decorative items.
What’s the maximum length you can make?
We can make shelves to any length up to 1200mm, so you can get a perfect fit whether you’re covering a small radiator or a long one.
Will it fit all types of radiators?
These shelves are designed to sit above standard wall-mounted radiators, not those built into covers or recessed into walls. As long as there’s a 3-9cm gap behind the radiator, you should be good to go.
Are brackets included?
Yes, the radiator shelf brackets are included.
How do I install the radiator shelf?
Installation is simple, just screw the shelf to the brackets with a screwdriver and then slot the brackets behind the radiator.
