Convenient and great value!
I came across ‘Cut My’ when I was planning my full height shaker wall. I LOVE the rendered version you can create on the website with all the measurements on before purchasing. It really gives you an insight into how your project will look.
The wood came within a reasonable time and was all the perfect sizes and as ordered.
I 100% recommended ‘Cut My’ as usually, convenience comes at a hefty price however, not with this company. It’s convenient and great value.

Honestly amazing service from start to finish. The internal glazing looks amazing on my 19th century windows, you literally cannot tell that there is clear plastic on the inside held by magnetic strip. The sound proofing and heat proofing is extraordinary. All for an affordable price. I am not a major DIY-er but I managed to fit this internal glazing myself. All our shelves are hand crafted in our Sussex workshop to the highest standards using 100% sustainable MDF with a beautiful crown cut real wood veneer.
Each shelf is 50mm thick, 225mm deep and is cut to any length you require so that it fits your space perfectly.
What's included?
✔ Shelf board - One veneered MDF shelf board handcrafted in the UK.
✔ Cast Iron Metal Shelf Brackets - With pre-drilled holes for easy installation. We provide a minimum of two brackets with an extra bracket per 1m of shelf board.
✔ Screws - 25mm screws to attach the bracket to the shelf and 50mm screws to attach the bracket to the wall.
Please note:
Wall plugs are not included.
We do not pre-drill bracket holes in the shelf, this gives you the freedom to select the placement of your brackets.

We include as many brackets as needed for your size of shelf, adding an additional bracket for each metre of shelf.
Easy Installation
Installing your shelf is a hassle-free process, allowing you to quickly transform your space. Each bracket comes with pre-drilled holes, ensuring a precise fit and straightforward installation.
Weight Capacity
We’d love to give you the weight capacity of your shelf but this simply isn’t possible as it depends on a variety of factors such as the length of your shelf, whether your wall is masonry or plasterboard and the wall plugs you use.
To hold the most weight we recommend fixing to a masonry wall with at least 50mm screws and wall plugs. It will hold considerably less weight if fixed to a plasterboard wall or studs.

These are super sturdy and very nicely finished. Given that they are former railway sleepers, I thought they might have a rough finish, but these are beautifully smooth and oiled. We used them to display several heavy sculptures. They look great.
