Very simple process and I'm delighted with the results. I required shelves for a china cabinet to replace 2 that had been broken during a move, a number of years ago. Ordering was very simple and it was helpful to look at all the options available, so I was able choose the best colour, thickness and material for the job. The two shelves arrived very well packaged within a couple days and slotted straight in. They look and behave identically to the original glass and are as rigid. How to Order Your AC Unit Window Seal
We offer two acrylic options for your AC unit window seal:
4mm Clear Acrylic – A transparent option that allows maximum light into your room while maintaining a clear view outside. 5mm Opal Acrylic – A privacy-friendly sheet that still lets natural light through but obscures the view for added discretion. Ideal if you want privacy without blocking daylight.
Measure Your Window
1. Measure the open window space (the gap you want to cover). 2. Add 40mm to both the width and the height to allow for the 20mm tape area around each edge.
Example: If your opening is 500mm × 600mm, you will enter 540mm × 640mm as your total size.
Select Cutout for AC Hose
Tick "Yes" to Cutout for AC Hose in the additional options.
Choose the correct shape for your AC hose ducting (Rectangle or Circle).
Enter your hose diameter in millimetres.
You can also adjust the cutout position to match your setup.
Add Hook and Loop Tape
Add the Hook and Loop Tape accessory to secure the sheet to your window frame. Each roll is 5 metres long - choose the quantity based on your total window perimeter.
Derek, one of our customers, used our 5mm opal acrylic sheet cut to size to make a custom air con unit window cover for his bedroom. The opal finish was perfect for blocking early morning sunlight while still letting in a soft glow. He fixed the acrylic to the window frame with tape for an easy, removable fit and added a low-cost sliding panel kit (bought elsewhere) to allow access to the window handle. This simple DIY project keeps cool air in, blocks unwanted light, and creates a modern, tidy appearance — showing just how versatile opal acrylic is for custom AC window seals.
Installation
Prepare the Window
Fully open the window you’ll use with your portable air conditioner.
Clean the frame thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, or moisture.
A clean surface ensures the acrylic panel sits flush and any tape or seals adhere well.
Check Your Panel
Verify the dimensions match your window opening.
Confirm the hose hole is the correct size for your exhaust.
Check that the hole is at a usable height for your AC unit.
Install the Panel
Attach the soft (loop) side of the tape to your window frame along the edges.
Stick the rough (hook) side to the edges of the acrylic panel.
Press the panel firmly into place so the tape bonds securely.
Provides easy, tool-free, removable installation—ideal for renters!
Connect the Exhaust Hose
Insert the AC exhaust hose through the pre-cut hole.
Ensure a snug fit.
Optional - Seal any small gaps with foam or tape for maximum efficiency.
Turn on your AC - all done!
Removal & Storage
To remove, simply detach the exhaust hose.
Gently pull the panel free, especially if using hook-and-loop tape.
Clean and dry before storing flat or upright to prevent scratches.

The skirt type window seal that came with my air con unit, was sent flying out of the window along with my sanity!
So I looked for a better solution and found "Cut My". Great website, I did get a little confused when trying to work out where to have the hole cut but as you can see I think I nailed it. I can still partly lower my electric blind to help block the afternoon sun. Great service, and sanity restored.
