Matt acrylic splashbacks are crafted from high-quality Perspex® acrylic sheets that have been specially treated to achieve a matt or satin finish. This finish creates a subtle and understated look, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to any kitchen space. Unlike gloss splashbacks, the matt surface diffuses light rather than reflecting it, resulting in a softer and more muted appearance.

As well as popular neutral colours of black, white, beige and, grey, our acrylic splashbacks are available in a trendy pastel range of colours allowing you to add a pop of colour to your kitchen. One of the main advantages of pastel colours is their ability to make a room feel brighter and more spacious. Light pastel shades, such as pale pink, mint green, soft blue, or lavender, can open up a small kitchen, making it appear larger and more airy.

Benefits of a Matt Acrylic Splashback

One of the key advantages of matt acrylic splashbacks is their ability to minimise the visibility of fingerprints, smudges, and scratches. The matt finish is less reflective, making it more forgiving when it comes to showing imperfections. This characteristic makes matt acrylic splashbacks an ideal choice for high-traffic areas, as they maintain their clean and flawless appearance for longer periods between cleanings.

Another benefit is their ease of installation, Matt Acrylic Splashbacks are more lightweight than glass making them much easier to install. We can cut any shape for you including any cutouts for sockets, switches, or pipework so there’s no cutting needed on-site. Simply apply adhesive and peel of the protective film on the front. If you need advice on measuring and installing, view our splashback guides.

Made to Measure

Our matt splashbacks can be cut to your specific requirements so that they fit perfectly. There’s no need for any cutting or mess at home as we can even cut holes for all your sockets, switches and pipework. You can use our handy visualiser to add your cutouts to create the required shape or use one of our handy templates to add your measurements to.

Colour Samples

Can’t decide on a colour? No problem, simply order a selection of samples so that you can see the colours in your kitchen. Colours can vary on screen and in different lighting so seeing the colour on a sample at home will help you in the decision-making process. Your sample will have one side gloss and one side matt which will also help you decide between a matt or gloss finish.

Splashbacks Behind a Hob

It is not recommended to use a Perspex® acrylic (Gloss and Matt and Painted Splashbacks) or an Aluminium Composite Splashback behind open heat sources, such as a cooker. These materials can only tolerate temperatures of up to 80°C before discolouring and warping. Therefore, it is advised not to fit acrylic or aluminium composite splashbacks behind an electric or gas hob. However, if you have an induction hob, you may place our Matt, Gloss and Painted Splashbacks behind it with a 50mm gap between the panel and the hob. Alternatively, for an aluminium composite splashback, a 150mm gap between the panel and hob is recommended behind an induction hob.

Our toughened glass splashbacks are the most suitable option to fit behind a heat source as they have high heat resistance.

Ordered two sheets of secondary glazing Perspex. Perfectly cut to the measurements that I gave. Easily installed with the self-adhesive magnetic strips. My windows have had no condensation since I put them up and the noise from outside the house has been reduced significantly. Very happy with my purchase.

Excellent service. Cut all my acrylic panels perfectly and very quickly and received within a couple of days. Highly recommend.

Sara Norwood,

The order I received from cut my was generally excellent. The items I ordered were cut exactly to my specifications with impressive tolerances and deliverd in only a few days. Normally I am a bit of a miser and will do everything I can myself when it comes to DIY. In this instance I was pushed for time and compared the difference in cost of ordering 9mm moisture resistant MDF and cutting it into panelling effect overlays on my table saw vs ordering everything pre cut to size on Cut My. Having installed all the panelling in one weekend I am glad I went with Cut My. The time it saved me to do 21m2 of panelling was well worth the extra cost over doing it all myself. The accuracy of the parts made the job a doddle, saving not only time but also frustration. The only issue I had were a couple of pieces were dinked on the corners in transit despite being well packed. I had to cut a few down anyway so this did not affect the job. I will definitely use them again!

I’ve never ordered anything like this before, but it was easy to order online and have the wood cut to the exact measurements we needed. It arrived in a reasonable time and was extremely well packaged. The wood is exactly what we needed for the project. I'm extremely pleased with my experience with Cut My. I ordered several bespoke 18mm melamine MDF shelves in different dimensions for my kitchen cupboards, and the whole process was straightforward and efficient. The online ordering system makes it very easy to specify precise measurements and customisation requirements, including edge banding, which is particularly useful when ordering made-to-measure components. All the pieces arrived accurately cut, with a very good finish and matching edge banding as requested. The quality was exactly what I was hoping for, and everything fitted perfectly. I was also impressed with the packaging and delivery. The order was well protected, ensuring that all the pieces arrived safely and without damage. Overall, a very positive experience. Great product quality, accurate workmanship, competitive pricing and a convenient ordering process. I would definitely recommend Cut My to anyone looking for made-to-measure shelving and custom-cut materials. I'll certainly be using them again!

David,

Order forms easy to use. plenty of information so excellent for a novices speedy service so all round very pleased however let down by delivery but as a delivery is by an outside company it should be those people that gets a bad review and not supplier of the goods. The item my purchase has still not been used, but I am confident I will be pleased… very good value for money.

The painted acrylic splashbacks look beautiful, just like glass. Everything was cut to size perfectly; the wait time was short, and the service was excellent. Thank you.

Dorota Ludynia,

Really accurate dimensions, great service

STEPHEN CHAPMAN,

I’m so happy with how our panelling looks. We had some issues trying to bond the picture rail and had to buy stronger glue. I’m not sure how safe it would be using the pva glue provided. Instructions do state that the picture rail is not load bearing yet all photographs show it with pictures and/or other ornaments which is misleading.

Charlene Smart,

There was a slight delay from the supplier but communication from this retailer was first class and the item was delivered very quickly as soon as it was available.

Mr Routen,

A quality 18 mm panel in a lovely colour. Delivered by DX on-time, however, the driver did not knock when it arrived even though we were in and lights were on and left it it propped against the wall next to the front door. This aside, I definitely buy from CutMy again.

Mr Mark Sillett,

Karan Sheth,

Easy process to find the product I needed, and enter bespoke dimensions. Good quality and well packaged. Everything as described. Prompt delivery with accurate dimensions. Good comms throughout . Happy to recommend. My go to site for this service.

RF,

Never heard of CutMy until I used them but the experience was brilliant. I needed some mdf cut to build a shoe rack. I know from previous builds that a big part of the challenge is cutting pieces straight and consistently. CutMy took all that pain away. They cut the pieces correctly and to the millimetre. They packaged it well and delivered it as expected. Was it more expensive than doing it myself? I’m sure it was; but it was a lot less painful and the end product looks a lot more professional. For me, its value for money. I’m now designing something a bit more ambitious and will be using them again. Very much recommended

S Hargreaves,

It did what it said on the tin

Headless,

Excellent service. Thanks

Tim smith,

I wish that I had known about this service before, I have often had requirements for small ready made panels. This company just fitted the bill. Yes i could have easily cut and edged the panel myself but being so busy just nice to place the trust in someone to make exactly as expected and deliver with out fuss. A definite recommendation for the future.

Mr Steve Talbot,

Order was delivered as stated with no issues. Panelling was then fitted with no issues. Looks great once painted.

carl mcmahon,

Super quality products, easy to use website, fantastic speedy delivery..I was over joyed with the quality of the product, far superior than locally brought examples. Very quickly delivered with superb wrapping, ease to order..world class

Ian Watts,

The board was well cut to the correct size. However the tape around the edges and corners (whose purpose I don't know) was such a pain to get off, and the board was dirty and required cleaning before use.
