Silver Mirror Aluminium Composite Splashback

Measuring for sockets is a simple task and can be done one of two ways. Both ways will result in your splashback sitting behind the cover for a professional, seamless finish.

Method 1

Measure to the socket cover (faceplate) and add 3mm.

We will need two measurements, one from the worktop to the socket cover and one from the left edge of the splashback to the left edge of the wall as in the diagram.

Method 2

For a perfect fit you can remove the socket cover (faceplate) and measure to the backbox behind it.

Again, we will need two measurements, one from the worktop to the socket cover and one from the left edge of the splashback to the left edge of the wall as in the diagram.

When measuring the splashback we recommend you minus 2mm where the splashback meets a wall or object to ensure you keep this in mind when measuring for sockets and minus 2mm where needed.

Please make sure you are using a modern, accurate steel tape measure and not a fabric one.

1. Select 'Yes' to add a rectangle or circle cutout
2. Add the length and width or diameter of the cutout
3. To position the cutout use the ‘Alignment’ section. Click ‘Centre’ to put the cutout in the centre. For any other position click ‘Custom’ and add your offset left and offset bottom measurements in mm.

How do I measure where the cutout should be?

For ‘Offset Left’ measure from the left edge to the cutout edge.

For ‘Offset Bottom’ measure from the bottom edge to the cutout edge as in the diagram.
