The fabric seal that came with your portable AC was never going to work. It sags, it gaps, and the velcro gives up the moment the wind picks up. Our acrylic seal is cut to the exact size of your window, with a hole in the exact size for your AC hose, so the cold air stays in, the hot air stays out, and you actually feel the difference. Renter-friendly, tool-free installation, and built to come down at the end of summer and go back up next year.

How to order

Important: You do not need the window adapter that came with your portable AC unit, only the hose is needed.

Measure the opening

Height and width of the open window gap in millimetres. Add extra so the acrylic sits at least 20mm onto the flat part of the frame on each side — include any curved section before the flat frame in this measurement.

Add your hose cutout

Tick Yes, choose Circle, then enter your hose diameter. You do not need the adapter, simply put the hose through the hole.

Add hook & loop tape

Add enough hook & loop tape for the perimeter of your window - sold in 5m rolls. The perimeter is height + width x2.

I am sorry to be negative but things did not go as well as they might have. Delivery was overdue , it took 2 emails and a phone call to sort out. The item is as ordered but surely they could have cleaned off the excess glue which was by now embedded with dirt. As it is I will clean it up myself. I suppose I got what I wanted in the end.

Ordered a Perspex panel to stick onto a window to help seal a window for a portable AC unit. Cut My offer one for this exact purpose which allows you to cut a hole in it to put your hose through. You can customize the size of the panel itself and the hole's diameter as well as position. You can even get the velcro strips from them to stick the panel to the window frame. The ordering process was easy, you just need to get your measurements right. Delivery was very quick and there has been no problems. The quality of the panel is excellent and fits my purposes perfectly. Highly recommended.

Wanting a way of effectively ventilating the fumes from my 3D printers, I came across the CutMy advert for window covers for air conditioning. This seemed a really good idea that I had not seen before; a few measurements later and the clear acrylic sheet arrived exactly as specified. I printed a hose adaptor to fit the ventilation hole and affixed the Velcro. Everything was quick, easy and accurate, at a reasonable cost.

I wanted to create a panel for unused door, the website was very helpful with the visualizer and the panel pieces came well packaged with no blemishes. The primer option was worth the extra, saved both time and achieving a smooth flat finish. Just remember 1500mm is the max height, so longer lengths are cut as 2 equals to achieve required length! The cutting to required was spot on and came together seamlessly!

Used CutMy a few times now..... As the amatuer hobbyist, I have now officially given up buying sheet ply or MDF, and trying to cut it myself. That's all okay when building small when the chop saw will suffice, but anything beyond 600mm is just not worth the aggravation. I found "Cut my" to be reasonably priced, especially when considering the amount of time, swearing and mis-cuts that would ensue otherwise. It can add up with lots of smallish pieces hitting the minimum, but the larger panels are definitely good value. I have had zero issues with lead time, quality or edge quality and the measurements have been millimetre perfect. ...and I have put that to the TEST with some odd sized cuts, circular cut-outs.... the lot. ....I have not had any cause for complaints. Contacted customer service once when I messed up with sheet thicknesses... and they were there instantly on chat; problem resolved. Fast, reliable and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

Like someone else said in the reviews that the window installation kit that comes with the portable AC units was slowly driving me insane, every single day several times a day I was constantly pushing the velcro down, replacing the velcro etc. I came across Cut My and was alarmed at the prices. But when I really thought about it I decided that if it works it will be worth the price because I was already spending wayyyy too much of my time on the window kit per day and also spending a lot of money replacing the velcro constantly. I was worried about getting the measurements wrong so I measured my window several times. I also put the hose diameter a few mms less intentionally because our AC hose is malleable and I figured it will stay on firmer if slightly smaller. I also adjusted the position of the hole based on our specific window and reach of the hose. It came packaged in an excellent box, which I will be able to reuse every autumn when it goes back into the store room for winter. I bought my own extra strong velcro and once attached the kit has worked like a miracle. It has not come off once so far and I have had it up for nearly 2 months now, AC comes on whenever temperatures go up. It is expensive but it is definitely worth it. It's given me peace at last!! I will definitely recommend
